LEARNING ENGLISH

This intensive course of almost a month has been something special, because it was my only experience with English at the university level. I only had English classes at school, many years ago. Although I do feel that I haven't lost contact with English, because even though I never speak it, more than half of the information I consume on the internet, on social media, movies or series, is in English.

This course has helped me to practice conversation and fluency, it has been difficult, because I'm not a very talkative person, I barely communicate in Spanish.

Blogs in particular have been a challenge that has helped me a lot, writing was not something I was used to and I think that now I've taken a liking to it, I'll probably continue writing my thoughts and opinions on different topics, I still don't know in what format. Also to read the blogs of my classmates was really entertaining. I feel that despite not seeing them in person, I met them through their posts.

I think I still have many things to improve in the language, grammar is one of them, and also study more vocabulary, especially everyday terms used by native speakers. I've also thought that reading my favorite books but in English could be good to improve my writing.

These days apart from classes my only contact with English is still the same as always, series and movies. I have the habit of rewatched a movie or series, but the second time without subtitles, just with the original audio in English, I think that really helps to get used to the phonetic and improve pronunciation.

Now I want to improve my level of English a little more, so that later I can start learning another language. poliglot people say that if you already know more than one language, it becomes easier for you to keep learning.

  1. That technique of watching the series for the second time without subtitles is very good, I think I will put it into practice, another thing, it is appreciated that you practice English a lot, you speak it very well !
